Vaux le Vicomte, Palais du Chocolat

You go to Vaux le Vicomte's Salon du Chocolat so off Susanne and I went.
It was Susanne's first time and my 3rd so I was the guide.

Ah the smell of it! Throughout the chateau - it was inescapable...
Tower upon tower of chocolat...here to adorn mini crepes made-to-order

A giant tower of chocolate macaron sculpture.
The French obsession with towers goes beyond the Eiffel Tower...
...it seems.
The piece de resistance in the chateau's Grand Salon made by Frederic Cassel.
Lots of people too, but nothing like the Paris Salon du Chocolat or Versailles so completely managable.
Lots of dipping.
Some chocolate "glue". Miam
More dipping.
Chocolate covered almonds from Mazet Confisieur.
Moliere was there, since he attended many balls at the chateau in former days.
...with his latest creations, chocolate-covered macarons.
Plus his excellent uncovered macarons.
After we'd filled up on chocolat.
They sent us off to divine divans for a much needed nap, before trudging home laden with bags of chocolate. Quite a grand trick or treat day. Thank you for insisting I go PB readers!
BONNE LUNDI!

    Hi Carol,
I was wondering if you are familiar with this street and where it is in Paris:
    28 rue de l’Abbé Grégoire,
    75006 Paris
It is the address of Ecole Ferrandi.

Enjoying the accounts of your trip. Makes me want to pack my bags and go there right now!

    Best,
    Veronica

How are you managing the “waistline”?

  22. What waistline?
I lost sight of my shoes as soon as I hit terra Paris.
I can only see macarons where aire I gaze...
    and chockies...
actually I'm ready to go cold turkey and am a bit sick of it all.
I'm leaving behind a fridge full of macs.
Let me know if you want the address.
